The Iditarod winner for 2010 is Lance Mackey! Thanks to all the fourth and fifth graders who responded to my blog questions about the Iditarod. It was an exciting race, and one that I hope you will be aware of for the rest of your life.
I will post another blog after the Spring Break. It will be a request for suggestions from students on ways to improve the library and library services.

The Iditarod Is Coming!!!!!
Dear Fourth and Fifth Graders,
The Iditarod will start March 7 and you know the mushers that you are following. Go to www.iditarod.com between March 7 and March 17 and discover the following and comment back to me:
What are your musher's names and bib numbers?
Where is your musher in the standings?
How many dogs does your musher have at this time?
Who is in the lead?
List the names of the mushers who are in the following positions:
Position 5
Position 39
Position 52
Last place

Books for Babies
The library will provide a book as a gift to any new baby brother or sister of a student. The student should come to the library to choose a book of his/her choice, then wrap it, and take it home to the new baby. You can also use this site to inform me about the new baby.
